Service Information
Is the service more frequent now?
The ftr route continues to be a high frequency service with an ftr arriving up to every 10 minutes.
Will my journey be quicker on ftr?
Special measures such as traffic light priority systems and the priority lane on Tadcaster Road have been installed allowing ftr priority over other traffic. These measures mean that the ftr is less likely to be delayed even at busy times. By purchasing tickets from a Customer Service Host instead of a driver you can also get onboard with less queuing.
Will the driver give me journey information and tell me when to get off?
Two onboard information screens tell you where you are on the route and list key locations at each stop. Customer Service Hosts are also on hand to assist you onboard. More travel advice and route planning services are available from First customer services and on our main website www.firstgroup.com. On ftr the pilots (drivers) are separate from the customer area so that they are able to concentrate on driving safely.
